The Sradha Besha or Deba Deepavali is observed during the Sradhas, the custom of annual offering to the departed souls and the Lord does the same for His parents. In this besha, the Lord is made to wear white colored silk clothing which bears a yellow border and printed pictures in red color, on the occasion of Pandu Purnima or the full moon day of the Margasira month. At the same time Lord Balabhadra is made to wear white silk cloth with black border and Devi Subhadra wears white silk cloth with yellow border. The besha, with white clothes and yellow border is observed on three days in the month of Margasir, which are the 14th day of the dark fortnight, the new moon day and the first day on the bright fortnight.
