Bhubaneswar: Orders have been issued by the Odisha High that no other person would be allowed to enter the sanctum sanctorum of Lord Jagannath Temple at Puri for the Naba Jauban Darshan. The access to the sanctum sanctorum will be available only to the servitors or Sevaks and Sevayats who are required for the darshan. Besides these people, no one will be allowed to witness the Naba Jauban Darshan of the sibling deities on Friday.
The orders were given by the Odisha High Court on Thursday, and it has been done as an interim measure while the adjudication of a PIL on the controversial orders of the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) takes place. The State Government has also been instrucet by a Division Bench of Justices DP Choudhury and Indrajit Mahanti to ensure that the temple is provided with adequate security measures so that the implementation of the around the of the High Court orders is done in a proper manner.
Additionally, the order of the High Court s installation of CCTVs at the entry and exit points on Friday. Also, the camera footages have to be deposited in the court for the purpose of scrutiny. This has been informed by Dr Ashok Mohapatra, the petitioner’s counsel and the president of the Odisha High Court Bar Association. –
