Bhubaneswar: The Land Acquisition Bill will face the opposition of the MPs of BJD in the Parliament. Bhatruhari Mahatab, the leader in Lok Sabha gave this information about the intention of the political party. The decision was taken at the Parliamentary Board meeting of the party, held at Naveen Nivas under the leadership of Naveen Patnaik, the president of BJD.
The Parliamentary Board of BJD gathered here on Sunday, in order to discuss the role of the MPs of the party in the Parliament as well as the plan of action to be taken on different issues, including the key issue of the Centre’s Land Acquisition Bill. Baijayant Panda, the MP from Kendrapada declared that questions would be raised in the Parliament regarding the issues which are likely to affect the state. Mahtab said that the Posco issue would also be included in the agenda of the party. He further stated that they would raise the issue in the Parliament in order to get their consent on it so that the state could benefit from industrialization as well as flow of investment from outside.
