In this besha, Lord Jagannath is dressed up like Lord Krishna while his elder brother, Lord Balabhadra is dressed to replicate Lord Balaram. They are adorned with a pair of extra hands each while Devi Subhadra is given four hands in this besha, which comes to be known as Chaturbhuja. The besha is observed on the Krishna Trayodashi or the 13th day of the dark fortnight of the Bhadraba month in August-September. It is also known as Ram-Balram Besha or Giri Gobardhan Besha.
