Bhubaneswar: Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, the Honourable Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas released the second part of the documentary film ‘Debata Hoeele Maraee’, which is based on the Nabakalebara. The event was held at Hotel Hindustan International in Bhubaneswar on 17th July, 2015.
The first part of the documentary covered aspects such as the birth and death of Lord Jagannath, and educated the new generation about these facts. Now, the second part highlights the traditions and rituals of Lord Jagannath, beginning from the Banajaga Yatra to the Navajoubana Darshan. The documentary has been made in Odia and English versions and both have been made on the basis of extensive research and analysis by Dr. Bibudharanjan, renowned writer and columnist of Odisha.
‘Divine Death’, which is the English version of the first part of this film, has been written by Shri Sandeep Sahu. It has already garnered accolades both, nationally and internationally through social media. The documentary attributes it success to its touching narration, excellent editing, world class animation and great visuals, all of which have combined to impress both, the masses and the classes. Co-produced by Indian Oil Corporation Limited under the production house Lighthouse, both the documentaries can be seen in YouTube.
