Bhubaneswar: The Meteorological Center has forecast that coastal Odisha is likely to be hit by heavy rainfall predicted in the next 48 hours, as a result of a cyclonic storm. Most of the areas of the state will be getting moderate to heavy rainfall in the same period.
A release by the center stated that the formation of a cyclonic circulation over the north western part of the Bay of Bengal and the surrounding areas of West Bengal as well as the Gangetic areas is going to result into a low pressure in the coming 24 hours. As a consequence, several places in the south as well as north and interior parts of the state are likely to be affected by heavy rainfall.
At the same time, the coastal areas will have thundershowers or rain in the coming 48 hours. The next five days will be characterized by similar conditions till July 23. After this, the state would experience more rainfall.
